Mail Order Bride Scams

Hi there to any guys who have decided to jump onto the Russian bride’s bandwagon and are searching for a Russian bride, or Russian dating.

This article is about myself and some of the times and fun I had over 4 years whilst searching for my Russian bride  It was by pure chance that I got into the Russian Brides  dating thing, My friend had joined an English dating site, and one evening  whilst we were searching which was  very depressing given there are so few nice beautiful ladies on any dating sites here  but by chance there was a couple of Russian girls, very very beautiful I must say, and for me this was the first time I had ever thought about a Russian women let alone chatted to one but to cut a long and funny story short, I was on a plane two weeks later to Moldova! Moldova!!!!  Where the heck is Moldova I thought!! I had never been to Eastern Europe in my life it was going to be an adventure, and was more of an adventure when I changed planes in Hungry for the “Air Moldova” plane, Was I going to make this flight alive?? We landed several hours later in Chisinau Airport that was an experience, I didn’t think the let cattle graze on the runway, well maybe they did things different here, of course some of my friends were saying it was not safe, mafia ect ect, but what the heck it sounded fun to me, and I was meeting a beautiful girl, what did I have to loose this was all new to meJ.

I finally departed the aeroplane and went to arrivals standing there waiting for me was Natasha a beautiful Moldovan girl, well it was a good start, I can tell you now I have made two trips to meet girls at later stages and they did not show up at the airport and in fact did not meet me or contact me, but that is another story I will tell about another day. I was there for four days and already it was a bit of an eye opener, I was having a good time with this girl she was friendly spoke very good English,  she had found me a reasonable apartment, Over the four days  I learnt a lot about Eastern Europe, and it was nice to go out for a meal for two and a bottle of Moldovan wine for less than $20.00 On my departure I made plans with Natasha to come to England to visit, which she seemed very eager to do, however after my return to England and spending time preparing a visa and purchasing a air ticket    it turned out the girl I went to meet was not who she said she was, well this was my first experience of not being scammed but finding out ,all is not as it seems in Eastern Europe,  I won’t bore you with the details but seems the girl had taken some money from a Canadian guy, who thought he was sending to her to fix her computer $3000!!! Expensive computer! and was about to do a runner, she left for France a week after I left with a French guy lucky I’m open minded I tracked her down out of curiosity, but just put the whole trip down to an experience, I should of learnt from this, never to rush to meet someone until you have spent at least two months communicating and you can build up some idea of who you are meeting, unfortunately on my later travels and meetings I did not learn by my mistake.

Whilst back in  England my mind was full of Ideas and plans I had decided that I wanted to find a beautiful Russian bride,  I had  soon  signed up to a Russian dating site, this was greatJ) I was corresponding with a beautiful girl from Kiev in Ukraine within a few weeks( here we go again!) I was planning to meet her; within a month I was on another plane to kiev to meet Natalia. I could not believe my luck when we met at arrivals there she was, very very beautiful, with long blonde hair, It was February and so cold!! -15 , Natalia had found two apartments one for herself and one for me,  So I paid her for the two apartments, of course, she was staying with a friend so I guess she kept the money for her apartment , but this was just one more trick I learnt on my travels,(never let a girl find your accommodation)She was nice enough , we went out to some tourist sites and during the evenings went out for meals but it was on my mind  how such a poor girl knew all the best places to eat and drink,   even so I even invited her to England,( why did I do that??  I only just met her!) I’m not going to bore you with my story of when she came to visit me in England , all I will say is I was glad to see the back of her!! And it was only when she was in England that I learnt she had visited .England on four other occasions as well as travelling to the Caribbean several times  I did wonder why she wanted to go to the travel agents and pick up some brochures, that was a lucky escape for me!

So it was back to square one.

Now anybody reading this article may now be worried as to is, it worth the trouble to try and find an honest good Russian bride, and my answer to that would be yes! I did in the end and you can too by just following your instincts, I made some mistakes, but in general they were my own doing, at the same time I had a great time and can say I was never really scammed or robbed of money.

Over the next few years I travelled Eastern Europe extensively, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova meeting many interesting ladies, making some great long term friendships, I had some great fun and great time and along the way and I guess you could say for the first few years it was like a addiction travelling to meet so many beautiful girls. Along the way I learnt a lot about Russian life, Russian culture and in particular Russian women and their mentality .Now Russian women’s mentality, that’s another subject I will write about another day. I also fell in love with Russia as a country, its culture and its people. I’m not saying all girls you meet are just after gifts, money, travel and holidays but there are many who just seek that, but then there are many girls like that on dating sites here so It is nothing new. My best advice to anyone planning to meet a Russian bride is to take it slowly and be sure you get to know her a little first, and remember she is probably communicating with several other guys at the same time.
